Day ten: Niagara Falls
I had a long drive to Niagara Falls so I took off quite early this morning. After a couple of hours if memory serves, I made a small detour for fuel through a little town called Perrysburg.
I walked around a bit in spite of the rain, they have a nice park near the river.
Riverside Park
After leaving Perrysburg, on the way to Niagara Falls I also went through Cleveland.
I didn't stop. I'll have to come back there some day to check out the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame though.
Later that afternoon I made a longer detour through Erie, and stopped for a while in the Presque Ile State Park. The sky was still overcast, but the lake was beautiful anyway.
So big it's like a sea
I went on North, alternating views of the lake with views of the forests
I'm very happy to see the land covered in trees again, makes for a fresher driving. And they're changing colours everywhere, it's beautiful.
Finally I arrived near the Niagara river
and then WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO
I have to admit I thought they were larger than that, but still it's very impressive.
Maid of the Mist number whatever
oblig. "me" photo
Allow me to introduce you to Chip,
Dale
and birdie
Man I could listen to that thunder all day long
Sunset on the Falls
upstream
deft change of angle here
and the larger one to conclude the day: Horseshoe Falls
Jaw-dropping.
